‘Tis the Season of Second Chances at Palmetto Animal League

As we find ourselves in the midst of the most joyous and generous time of the year, surrounded by family and friends, it’s important to remember those who are without… those like Maxwell.

This 9-year-old boy lived in the same home for years, but due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, he now finds himself living at the Palmetto Animal League Adoption Center during what’s supposed to be the happiest time of the year.

Maxwell dreams of finding a quiet home where he and his 5-year-old “brother” Dusty can live together just like before. We know that may not be possible, but it’s his greatest holiday wish.

The PAL Adoption Center, located in Okatie’s Riverwalk Business Park, serves as a temporary home for over 200 animals, with even more in foster care. Each pet has a unique personality and story, just like Maxwell.

You can change the life of a homeless pet this holiday season during Palmetto Animal League’s ‘Season of Second Chances’. We are waiving adoption fees for cats, kittens and adult dogs December 1st through New Year’s Day, encouraging adopters to open their homes and the hearts this holiday season. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. All they need is a warm bed and a loving family to call their own. Let’s send them home for the holidays! Click here for all the details.

Can’t adopt? You can still make a difference. Save a life by donating today.

You can also make the holidays brighter for shelter pets by bringing a pet supply or pet store gift card to the PAL Adoption Center.
