Adopt a homeless pet during the Season of Second Chances

December has arrived, and with it the season of merriment and generosity. While most of us are surrounded by loved ones and filled with holiday cheer, it is important to remember those who are less fortunate … like Yo-yo.

This sweet 15-year-old senior boy was rescued from a county shelter in October 2017. After arriving at Palmetto Animal League, Yo-yo quickly became a staff favorite. He can usually be found in a basket on the front counter, welcoming visitors to the Adoption Center.

Yo-yo loves attention and being around people. He enjoys spending his days lounging and exploring. Although Yo-yo would be greatly missed at PAL, we know his holiday wish is for a peaceful and comfortable home where he can relax and enjoy his golden years.

Our Adoption Center, located in Okatie’s Riverwalk Business Park, serves as a temporary home for more than 200 animals. PAL also operates an extensive network of homes offering both foster and hospice care, allowing each animal in our care to live in an environment best suited to his or her needs.

Every pet, like Yo-yo, has a unique personality and story.

You can change the life of a homeless pet this holiday season during Palmetto Animal League’s Season of Second Chances. We are waiving adoption fees for cats, kittens, and adult dogs through New Year’s Day, encouraging adopters to open their homes and their hearts this holiday season.

All pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. All they need is a warm bed and a loving family to call their own. Help us find a home for them this holiday season!

Can’t adopt? You can still make a difference by making a donation of pet food, pet beds, treats and toys to Palmetto Animal League. These items bring comfort to the pets in our care while they wait to find forever homes.

You can also visit the Adoption Center and socialize with our animals. It is guaranteed to bring you as much joy as it does them.
