PAL’s Online Auction Raises the Bar to Benefit Homeless Pets

For the 9th year in a row, Palmetto Animal League is offering a shopper’s paradise where folks can browse without ever leaving home. The 2018 Bid for PAL Online Auction, which takes place April 20-23 at www.PALauction.org, is rolling out a brand-new category of exceptional items to benefit abandoned, abused and neglected pets in our community.

This year, community members are invited to bid on an array of never-before-featured items, including Chevrolet vehicles, two Duffy 18’ Snug Harbor boats, in ground fiberglass pools and exotic adventures to Africa and Costa Rica. The auction’s volunteer organizers hope this new category of items will add even more excitement to PAL’s largest fundraiser of the year.

“We are thankful to have strong support from local businesses that have agreed to provide these fabulous items to our auction at a reduced price,” explains Auction Chair Mary Lynn Peacher. “That way bidders can get great deals, and most importantly, we can raise every dollar possible for animals in need of rescue.”

People can also shop for the popular, time-honored auction items they’ve come to know and love over the years. The Bid for PAL Online Auction offers something for everyone, featuring hundreds of fantastic items across all price points. Some of the all-time favorites include golf packages, dining experiences and restaurant certificates, spa treatments, fine wine, home services and so much more, all donated by area, animal loving businesses.

PAL’s 9th annual online auction goes live Friday, April 20 at 8 a.m. and continues through Monday, April 23 at 10 p.m. Community members are invited to pre-register now and be among the first to browse the Bid for PAL online catalog filled with highly sought-after items from Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort and beyond.

It’s a unique opportunity to splurge on yourself and give homeless pets a second chance at life. Bidding is fun, simple and life-saving!

“Each year, I can’t wait to be one of the first to browse and bid on some of the more coveted items,” says return bidder Cheryl Curry. “I have to admit, I get a little competitive because I want to win certain items and because I know each of my charitable dollars will be spent in the right place – on the animals.”
