PAL works to achieve a No Kill South Carolina

When your goal is to save as many homeless pets as possible, it’s deeply heartening to find so many like-minded people out there who value every animal’s life as a precious gift.

No one person or organization can do it alone. Having partners fully committed to no kill animal rescue is the key to saving abandoned, abused and neglected pets before it’s too late.

Palmetto Animal League is a proud partner of the No Kill South Carolina initiative, a network of animal welfare organizations that aims to reduce and eventually eliminate euthanasia of healthy and treatable pets in our state.

As a No Kill SC partner, PAL vows to embrace compassionate, no kill strategies including a non-judgmental, pet-focused adoption system, an extensive foster care network, a high-quality spay-neuter program, and an active lost and found outreach program.

These are just a few of the things that set PAL apart from other animal shelters.

Palmetto Animal League also ardently defends what No Kill SC calls the Five Freedoms: freedom from hunger and thirst, freedom from discomfort, freedom from pain, injury or disease, freedom to express normal behavior and freedom from fear and distress.

These promises sound basic, but hundreds of thousands of animals are denied these freedoms every year in our country. As a society, we simply must do more and take immediate action to protect the most vulnerable among us.

Each rescue starts with the heartfelt support of an individual like you or a company like yours. In our Lowcountry business community, compassionate giving is a way of life. We are a people who care. We are a people who act.

PAL’s No Kill Adoption Center in Okatie is the result of a community effort many years in the making. Local businesses help PAL rescue over 1,000 animals each year! With your help, we could save hundreds more.

You have a powerful opportunity to reach out and make a difference. Join the No Kill Movement. Become a Partner in Rescue and let everyone know that your business stands with PAL against animal neglect, abuse and above all, euthanasia.
