Last week PAL rescued a friendly pup named Ares from a high-kill animal shelter in Georgia. Although he was microchipped, the registered phone number was out of service. Our dedicated team didn’t give up and took the search to social media. Using Facebook, we were able to track down his family. It brought smiles to our faces to hear his owner’s and excitement when we told him that Ares had been found. Turns out, Ares had actually been missing for quite some time. He was overjoyed when he was reunited with his family the very next day.
At Palmetto Animal League, we rescue animals from shelters where they wouldn’t survive. We bring them into the safe haven of PAL’s adoption center and give them a second chance at life. The friendly, comfortable, low-stress environment of PAL encourages humans to visit, adopt and volunteer. Some animals are adopted into a brand new home. Others, like Ares, are reunited with their owners and get a storybook ending.
This is the essence of No Kill animal rescue – helping reunite dogs like Ares with their families. With your help, PAL can save even more animals like Ares. Join the No Kill Movement today by visiting our website and making a recurring or one-time donation.
