Peace of Mind Program
Who will care for your pets if you cannot? Give yourself Peace of Mind.
If a time comes when you are no longer able to care for your beloved pets, PAL can be there to help.
Your first step is to click here and fill out our Peace of Mind Program application. Once PAL receives your application, we will contact you to discuss your pet(s). If your pet is accepted, you will be asked to sign the Peace of Mind Plan Agreement, which you may wish to share with your legal adviser. Click here to read the sample agreement.
If a time comes when you are no longer able to care for your beloved pet, PAL will place your pet in a suitable home as quickly as possible and will lovingly care for your pet at the PAL Adoption Center until that new home is found. Our team will make every effort to match each pet’s personality and physical requirements with the adoptive family and home. PAL staff will also monitor your beloved pet during the initial transition and throughout their lifetime to ensure your pet’s happiness and quality of life.
The program requires a minimum bequest of $20,000 for your first pet and $10,000 for each additional pet, which will ensure immediate and compassionate care for your pets. Thanks to your generous and thoughtful planning, you will also be helping many other animals for years to come.
Once you become a member of the program, be sure to keep your pet’s vaccinations and veterinary records up to date. Please inform PAL if your pet’s needs change over time or if you switch to a new veterinarian. Inform a representative, who has access to your home and your pets, as well as your veterinarian that your pet is enrolled in the PAL Peace of Mind Program, and provide both parties with PAL’s contact information. We also encourage you to post an “In Case of Emergency Pet Care Notice” on your residence and keep a note in your wallet. Click the questions and answers link below for more details.
As a member of the Peace of Mind Program, you will ensure your pet’s quality of life for their entire life. If you become unable to care for your pet, you can trust our experienced team to lovingly consider the unique needs of your animal(s).
